Christmas Necklaces Part 1

If you are reading this blog, you either know a family member or you know me (either way, you're a lucky duck). And if you know me, you will understand that this is a pretty loose operation. Not that I am "loose" per se, but you know what I mean.
I started making these necklaces just for kicks this past fall, but more and more people have asked about them and, be still my heart, ORDERED them. They have been given as Christmas gifts, as teacher thank-you presents, as birthday treats and as "Hey, I just think you're groovy" trinkets. Below I've posted pictures of the Christmas necklaces I've made this season. Some are charming & vintage-y:

Some are a little more modern and funky:

Here are a few shots of what they look like finished:
If you are interested in ordering one, PLEASE contact me as soon as humanly possible so that I can get them to you in time for the giftee to wear it in jubilant yuletide celebration. If you want to order a custom charm (monograms, different holiday, different colors, text, whatever), drop me an email at satsumadesign@gmail.com and we'll chat.
Thanks for looking! I really think you're fabulous.

Christmas Necklaces Part 2-FAQs

Here's the skinny:

Q: How big are the charms, and how much do they cost?
A: Right now, I have five sizes:
.75"x.75" for $9
1"x1" for $9
1"x1.5" for $10
1.5"x2" for $12
2"x2" for $15
All charms are made with sterling solder and beveled glass.

Q:How long are the chains, and how much do they cost?
A: That depends on you! The long chains are generally 30" or so. Short chains are about 16". A long chain is $10 and a short chain is $8. The chains are silver-plated with lobster-claw clasps. If you would like a sterling chain or a toggle clasp, I will quote you a price based on what is available at the time.

Q: How do I order?

A: First of all, you give yourself a big pat on the back for being so stylish! Then, you send an email to satsumadesign@gmail.com. If you would like a Christmas necklace, let me know which pic you want on the front (Santa in a car, Santa by the chimney, Reindeer etc.). If you want a custom necklace, send some kind of description about what you are looking for and we will work together. I am fast, I promise. If enough people are interested, I'll open an etsy shop.

Q: How do I pay?
A: Right now, if I know you or know someone who does, I'll take a check. I also have a PayPal account. Like I said...if enough people are interested, I'll take the etsy plunge.

Q:What's with the name "Satsuma?"
A: My grandpa, whom I dearly loved, named all of us after his favorite plums. Be glad I'm Satsuma. My sister was Pottawattamie.

Q: Do you gift-wrap?
A: Yep. Here is a pic of my holiday box. I'll change with the seasons!
